Langley Community Chest Fund
We have an account (#158) at the Langley Bottle Depot located at 20137 Industrial Avenue. Your recycling can add to our fund at the Langley Community Chest Fund. This Fund supports creative opportunities for bringing people together from all ages and walks of life to have fun, build relationships and enhance the feeling of belonging in Langley. This idea grew out of conversations amongst Langley Citizens who recognized the need to build a more inclusive community through free events.
You can make a cash donation or drop off a cheque at our office. Or, you can mail your cheque to You've Gotta Have Friends, 20510 Fraser Highway, Langley BC, V3A 4G2. Please make cheques payable to LACL/YGHF. The Langley Association for Community Living (LACL) is our umbrella charitable organization and issues receipts for donations.
This project is an opportunity for community members to demonstrate a commitment to the changing culture of Langley towards an inclusive community and heightening the awareness of how kindness connects people. Organizations that sign on with Kindness Connects embody the following principles:
· That the first and best approach to others is kindness
· A belief that kindness can be the first step to building a relationship
· A belief that kindness is universally understood
· A belief that expressions of kindness expect nothing in return
· An awareness that a culture of kindness can bring a major shift in a person, family, community or, in fact, the world
· Anyone has the ability to be kind
